Founded in 2011 as an alternative label specializing in T-shirts, designer Masato Tanno created the brand with the motto: “I’d rather be overwhelmed by excitement than be consumed by boredom.”Known for unique and message-driven designs featuring typography, the brand actively collaborates with numerous brands, shops, and musicians, continuously exploring the potential of T-shirts for over a decade.
In 2017, Tanno teamed up with photographer Masafumi Sanai and stylist Daisuke Iga to launch the photo T-shirt label “GASATANG.”
